about me

I was about five years old when my parents got me my first keyboard. After all, I had been singing along to every song I heard for, honestly, as long as I can remember. Soon after, a tiny children’s drum kit followed and at the age of six I fell in love with the cello – I took lessons until I was 17. My interest in guitar and ukulele followed in my late teenage years. My biggest passion, however, remained singing.

I started songwriting for the same reason most of us do: a tough time. As a struggling teenager, writing down my feelings in a poetic way was the most productive way to let off steam. What started out as a form of self-therapy has, over the years, formed to my main creativity outlet and my favourite way to challenge myself. I still write personal songs about everything that goes on in my life, but I also like to dive into fictional or even more abstract themes. One way or another my goal is always to tell a story.

Despite also following other interests throughout my school career, my path has always led me back to music. So finding out about university courses in Pop Music was heaven sent. I spent three and a half years diving deeper into vocal performance, songwriting, as well as teaching music.

Today I produce most of my own music and have been releasing some of it for a few years, looking to find my place as a musician, songwriter and singing teacher. As of recently I am represented by the label Kumori Records and you can expect a lot of new music from me in the near future.
